Nurturing Faith, Food, & Family

Ten acres in Missouri where we're slowing down, working with our hands, and building a simpler life for our family, one paddock, one pasture, and one jar of chimichurri at a time.

Coming Home to Our Humble Haven

House.png

This story started almost five years ago, as a quiet desire for something simpler. A slower pace. Joy that comes from working with our hands. Being outside, connected to the land, and remembering where real food actually comes from. At the center of it was a longing for God's peace, the kind that comes from a life built around what truly matters instead of what's merely convenient.

Two years ago, we stopped just dreaming about it and started moving toward it. Our house went on the market in October, and since then we've been building, quite literally, toward this new life. The house is about two thirds finished. The septic is already in. Soon the well will be established, and we'll be able to move in for good.

We already have two to three acres of pasture taking shape, and the cement pad is poured for a barn we hope to have very soon. We're planning a wagon wheel rotational grazing setup with four paddocks, room for sheep, a couple of mini cows, maybe a mini donkey, and ducks. Inside the barn, my dad is building us a milking station out of scrap wood, and I cannot wait to be out there each morning, milking, gathering duck eggs, and watching this place slowly come to life.

We have four kids walking this journey with us. Olivia, John Paul, Clare, and Caroline are counting down the days right alongside us, each one already claiming their own piece of the farm to come.

This is Little Flower Farm. Still growing, still becoming, but already home.

Our Values

Faith

We believe a slower life is a fuller one. Moving to the farm has never just been about land or animals, it's about making room for God's peace and a quieter kind of gratitude. Working with our hands, watching things grow, and depending on something bigger than ourselves reminds us daily of what we were actually made for.

Family

Family is why we're doing all of this. Four kids, two parents, and one shared decision to slow down and build something together. We believe children grow best with dirt under their nails and real responsibilities on their shoulders, feeding animals, tending a garden, learning that good things take patience and work. This move is as much theirs as it is ours, and we want them to look back on it as the place they truly grew up.

Food

Food, to us, is never just about the meal. It's the reason everyone ends up in the kitchen at once, the excuse for Sunday gatherings that stretch long past dessert, the thing that pulls family together around one table just to be together. We believe in cooking real, delicious food from scratch and sharing it generously, because a good meal made with love has a way of turning ordinary time into the moments that matter most.
